Canon Abilities: Drizella is a witch- which, for her, means that she can immobilize/freeze people in place, induce sleep, teleport, move things with her mind, and manipulate plants and natural elements in that sort of realm.
Inventory: Her clothes she arrived in (leather jacket, mini skirt, top, heels), her purse with only the essentials: lipstick, mirror, mace, phone.

🦋 Personality

1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?

Growing up in the Enchanted Forest, Drizella has always known of and believed in magic. Her sister, Anastasia, showed an affinity for it naturally early on in their life and Drizella was born with the ability, but her mother never allowed her to cultivate it. She has no ill feelings about magic itself- but it wasn't until she was older that she even started to learn on her as a means to protect herself and have some agency over her life. While Drizella is still new to magic, she has had two powerful teachers in her time. Regina taught her and nurtured her, but when she refused to help Drizella kill her mother (as she learned that her mother intended to rip her heart out to resurrect Anastasia with it), Drizella sought out Gothel and joined the Coven of Eight to enact her revenge.

For Drizella, magic is a tool just like any other tool or weapon might be. Though she would like to use it for more whimsical means, perhaps, in the future- her life hasn’t allowed her that luxury yet.



2. If your character could ask for one wish, and it's going to be magically granted without any consequence, what will it be and why?

At this point in time, Drizella’s biggest wish is for her mother to suffer. A lot. She’s so consumed by her want for revenge and the absence of her mother’s love that she’s felt since Anastasia’s passing. It’s clear to Drizella that while she longed for and worked to earn her mother’s love, she was never going to measure up to the pedestal that Rapunzel had put Anastasia on in her mind. She’s tired of being treated with disdain and being told she’s never going to live up to her dead (ish) sister. Then there’s the fact that Rapunzel had intended to kill Drizella before she killed her fiance and turned her heart black so it couldn’t be used against her.

So if she’s able to wish for her mother’s eternal suffering and for her to feel half the pain that Drizella does, she’s going to wish for it.


3. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.

There’s two possible answers to this: either Henry or Anastasia. At this point in her canon, it would more likely be Henry. She wants him to be the hero in her story, even after all she’s done to him and his family. There’s a sort of innocence that he has in Hyperion Heights and it’s given her a better look at who he is. This could be the different lifetime where she gets what she wants and lives a fulfilled life. But she wouldn’t dare say any of that out loud… and if it were any later in her canon, she wouldn’t let herself follow him.

It would be Anastasia instead, to make up for their lost childhood and regain what it means to be sisters. (In fact, she vaguely does this at a later canon point.) As it is, Anastasia has only been recently resurrected, and Drizella is still very hurt by their mother’s preference for her.


4. What is your character's most outstanding personality trait, and why?

While not a traditional personality trait, resentment is Drizella’s driving force. Much of what she does is fueled by vengeance and spite, brought upon by her mother's ultimate plan to sacrifice her for her sister's life. She grew up without truly knowing her mother, but was always hopeful and optimistic for her return- even going as far as coming up with the idea to set the floating lanterns free in the sky in the hopes they would lead her back to them. When Rapunzel did return to them, she assumed it was Anastasia's idea to lead them back to her and showed the elder sister more preferred treatment than Drizella. This leads her to be more distant and detached from her family.

Her mother's love and care for Anastasia, even in her death, drives a wedge between her and the rest of the world. She hates that Anastasia holds that coveted spot in her mother's heart, despite her death, and can't help but feel her mother would have preferred she's the one that died.
